The Ardbeg distillery is located in the Islay region of Scotland and has been distilling whisky since 1815. In 1974, Ardbeg distilled what would become the Provenance bottling in 1997. It was bottled to celebrate the ‘rebirth’ of Ardbeg after it was purchased by Glenmorangie PLC.
