One of Scotland’s biggest whisky festivals is returning to Speyside in 2023. The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival has been running annually since 1999 and is a multi-day, multi-event festival celebrating all that there is to love about Scotland’s national beverage.
In 2023, you can celebrate all things whisky at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival from 26th April-1st May 2023.
The festival attracts whisky lovers and connoisseurs from all over the world to attend a multitude of whisky-related events across one of Scotland’s most jammed-packed whisky regions. In 2022, there were over 700 events packed into 6 days across Speyside including intimate whisky tastings, tours of various distilleries such as Glenfiddich and Balvenie, and a whisky tumbler carving workshop.

We can expect the 2023 events to be much the same, with something for everyone whether you are interested in the history and distillation process of whisky or you just love the flavour profiles of Speyside drams.
Venues for the events include distilleries, village halls, outdoor events, castles, and local bars. You can even get your wet gear on and go canoeing if it takes your fancy!
One such venue is Speyburn, which is opening its doors for public tours for the first time in celebration of the distillery’s 125th anniversary.
Tickets for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival go on sale at 12 noon on Friday 27th January 2023 and can be previewed as early as Wednesday 25th January. Head over to the festival website to purchase yours and avoid disappointment.
