I had some old coins to sell, and had no real idea how to get the best price for them. Mark found a buyer who paid a fair price, better than I would have got at either auction or to a 'cash for gold' type company. Whole process was fast, professional and of all, lucrative!

Mark has been a great help and has offered a service that I haven't come across before. He presents different options and explains procedures very clearly. He has been patient and encouraging with my questions. I love his enthusiasm and his obvious expertise and knowledge. The icing on the cake! He comes to my house, takes away things (that have some value) I don't want anymore and sells them for me. He makes it so easy.read more

Mark delivered a superb service from start to finish. I was unsure about many things at the beginning of the process, and he helped me come to the right decision without rushing me or making me feel under 'sales' pressure. His knowledge is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Mark sold a cask of whisky which I had inherited and did not know what to do with. The offer I got through Mark was much higher than the distillery had offered me and the whole process was simple and best of all, profitable! He explained all of the steps I needed to take in a straightforward manner and no question was too small for him to answer. Well recommended.read more

A Collection of L S Lowry Prints

Brian, a London based client, had four very desirable prints.  They were all by L S Lowry and included a copy of Going to the Match.

We sold all four to one collector for £25,000.  We personally collected the prints and delivered them to our buyer.

“I cannot speak highly enough of the way Mark conducts himself and his business. His professional approach and enthusiasm combined with natural charm is in my case only exceeded by his ability to get the job done.

Within an eight eight hour window the Lowry’s were valued, transported and sold…Whew! Leaving one very satisfied customer.”

A Wee Dram

Colin contacted us with a rare bottle of Macallan to sell.  Rather than choosing an auction house (who would have taken 45% of the sale total), we sold the bottle privately.

As a result, Colin took home an extra 35%!

“I found dealing with Mark a very professional experience. Previously I had dealt with auction houses in Glasgow. Within 24 hours Mark had valued my whisky and found a buyer. Excellent friendly service and I would recommend him without hesitation…I would use him again”

“I found Mark on the Internet. I had a few items to sell and had spoken to a few people who told me they were all remakes . I contacted mark. Nothing was to much trouble he came to us talked us through every step what would be happening. Sent us the link to see the items in the catalogue. Its only taken two weeks now the items have been sold.

I was so pleased I was looking through Google that day and found marks site. Mark was brilliant very professional”

A Clear-Out

We helped Jean and Bob sell a whole range of items they no longer had space for.  We sold all of their gold jewellery privately which earned them an extra 40% compared to auction.  The rest of their items were sold at three auctions.

We selected a specialist book auction to sell their autograph album.  Amongst others it contained Winston Churchill, Ernest Shakleton and Edward Elgar.  Estimated at £800-1200 it sold for £1,600

As total amateurs we are in awe of the many skills Mark has aquired and feel that he offers a unique service .

We would thoroughly recommend Mark Littler to any group or individual who, we are sure, would benefit from his experience

I needed some help with some antique items that my family owned and got in touch with him about them. His response was fast, efficient and extremely helpful. Within days he had found a potential purchaser and had valued all the items.  All was great.  I highly recommend him”

“I had the pleasure of dealing with Mark after searching for an art dealer on the web. As Mark fitted the criteria I was looking for I contacted him to enquire about a valuation of a Lowry print. I found him to be prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Having no experience of antique/art dealing he put me completely at ease. Not only did he get me a great price for the print he personally picked it up and packaged it for safe transportation. An all round superb service and would not hesitate in recommending him”

Selling a Treasured Collection

We helped Dave sell his treasured collection of football programmes.  Many were very rare so we decided an auction would be the best approach.  The programmes were sent to a saleroom where they were catalogued by a leading football programme expert.  Every lot sold over its estimate.

I was delighted with the outcome and would have no hesitation in using Mark again whilst also offering the highest recommendation of him as a totally trustworthy and professional individual who has immense knowledge on a wide range of antiques.

What is particularly impressive to a “layman” such as myself is his approachability and clarity of explanation of the likely value of personal items and his understanding of the attachment you often feel towards such possessions.”

A Probate Valuation

We helped David following the death of his mother.  We firstly provided a probate valuation and we then advised the family on how best to sell any items they no longer wanted.

“Following a recent death in the family Mark was fantastically helpful in assisting with the clearance and sale of items.

The results were better than anticipated and the salerooms that Mark selected for disposal did an excellent job”

A Professional Recommendation

“Please allow me to commend Mark Littler to you for your probate and matrimonial division work. He is enthusiastic and professional and his experience in the auctioneering world will ensure that he appraises your items accurately and finds the right auction house or other outlet to sell your goods at the best possible price if they are to be sold.

Best of all he will deal with the complete clearance of a property and ensure that it is left clean and tidy to hand over to the personal representatives or an estate agent thereafter.”

Buried Treasure

This 15th-century medieval marriage ring was found by a metal detectorist in Yorkshire.  We were approached to give advice as to how best to sell the ring.  Deciding that the ring would carry a premium if it had not been exposed at auction, we began to search for a private buyer.  We eventually sold the ring (which was from circa 1430) to Mayfair jewellers Wartski for a five-figure sum.

The story made the national news and you can read more about the story by clicking the following images.
