Simply fill in the contact form and we’ll begin your free valuation. We offer trusted, independent advice on your Chinese or Asian antiques — including porcelain, jade, bronzes, scrolls, and more. Our aim is to help you understand what your item is worth and guide you through the best way to sell it for the highest possible return.
Selling Asian art can be complex. Not all auction houses have the right audience or expertise, and details such as reign marks, provenance, and condition can dramatically affect the value. If you’re considering auction, we can recommend the most suitable saleroom based on your item and location — at no cost to you — so your antique reaches the right buyers.
In some cases, a private sale may be more appropriate. We can discreetly approach collectors or dealers on your behalf to help you avoid high fees and secure a faster, more profitable result. Whether auction or private sale, our goal is to help you choose the most effective route.
Provenance: This is crucial. When and where was the item acquired? Was it inherited, purchased recently, or bought from a dealer? Provenance can significantly impact value.
Photographs: Clear images are essential, especially of base markings, signatures, reign marks, or labels. Include close-ups and full shots from multiple angles.
Condition: Chips, cracks, restorations, or wear can affect desirability. Be honest and thorough in describing any damage.
Materials & Features: Note key features, porcelain, jade, bronze, enamel, lacquer, etc. Include measurements.
Provenance (again!): Strong provenance adds trust, traceability, and often a premium. We genuinely cannot stress this enough.
