French spirits group Rémy Cointreau has unveiled a sweeping transformation plan called RC Forward, aimed at regaining momentum and maximising the potential of its brand portfolio. The Paris-listed company announced the plan on 8 April 2026 alongside a significant reorganisation of its executive leadership structure.
The initiative comes after what the company described as three challenging years shaped by a complex economic and geopolitical environment. It centres on five strategic pillars: strengthening distribution networks, enhancing revenue growth management, optimising advertising and promotional spend, improving procurement, and simplifying organisational processes.

Franck Marilly, Chief Executive Officer of Rémy Cointreau, said: "After three years marked by a complex environment, it is time for Rémy Cointreau to stand out within its industry. The Group has the privilege of relying on an exceptional portfolio of brands and on talented and committed teams."
He added: "RC Forward Plan aims to give us the means to generate our own value creation momentum and thus become less dependent on macroeconomic cycles. Our ambition is clear: to sustainably improve profitability in order to generate additional resources to reinvest in growth."
As part of the restructuring, Rémy Cointreau has established a new Steering Committee within its Executive Committee. Luca Marotta takes on the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer, while Ian McLernon becomes Group Chief Markets Officer overseeing all regions, including a newly created Emerging Markets division.
The company has also formed a Prestige Division to oversee its luxury brands Louis XIII, Telmont and Maison Psyché. Ludovic du Plessis will lead this unit and joins the Executive Committee. Célia d’Everlange has been appointed Chief Transformation Officer for the duration of the plan.
Two new cross-functional units round out the changes. Douglas Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of the Whisky & Gin division, will head an Innovation Lab focused on consumer trends, while Sophie Phe, Chief Executive Officer of China, will oversee an Executive Lab dedicated to accelerating transformation initiatives.
The group plans to share initial progress on the plan on 4 June, when it publishes its annual results. Medium-term objectives will follow in November 2026 alongside first-half results. Rémy Cointreau’s portfolio includes 14 brands, among them Rémy Martin cognac, LOUIS XIII and Cointreau liqueur, supported by 1,856 employees worldwide.
