Edinburgh-based independent bottler Rare Find has announced its exclusive Fèis Ìle 2026 Collection, comprising three single cask 12-year-old Caol Ila single malts each finished in a different fortified wine octave cask. The limited-edition trio, featuring Ruby Port, Tawny Port, and Madeira cask finishes, will be available from select retailers from Friday 22 May 2026, with each bottle priced at £99.
The collection marks the award-winning bottler’s first full art label series. Each of the three releases features a bespoke colour palette designed to reflect the individual character of the cask within, creating a visual triptych intended to mirror the flavour profile of each whisky.

All three expressions were distilled at Caol Ila on Islay and finished for three months in their respective octave casks. They are bottled at cask strength, with natural colour and without chill filtration. Yields are notably small, with just 61 bottles from the Ruby Port finish at 58.2% ABV, 63 from the Tawny Port finish at 58.3% ABV, and 66 from the Madeira finish at 57.9% ABV.
Official tasting notes from the brand describe the Ruby Port expression as offering smoked barbecue sauce, dried berries, and mulling spices on the nose, with citrus, granite, and redcurrants on the palate. The Tawny Port bottling presents mince pies, cola cubes, and medicinal peat smoke, while the Madeira finish features griddled strawberries, salted almonds, and ashy smoke.

Members of Rare Find’s Vault programme will be offered an exclusive opportunity to purchase bottles shortly before the official launch date. Fèis Ìle, Islay’s annual festival of music and malt whisky, regularly attracts thousands of visitors to the island and has become one of the most celebrated events in the Scotch whisky calendar.
