The Port Ellen 12 Year Old Queen’s Visit is thought to be the only official Port Ellen bottling to be made in all of Port Ellen’s years in operation. This makes this bottle infinitely collectible.
Only 40 bottles of this whisky were ever produced for the Queen and her senior staff members on their visit to the Port Ellen Maltings in 1980.
As such, this bottle is quite possibly the rarest bottle of Port Ellen in existence.
